The BahnCard is useful for frequent DB Bahn travellers looking for guaranteed savings on every ticket purchased, excluding certain special offers.
The BahnCard comes in three varieties, offering 25, 50, or 100% discounts on DB Bahn fares throughout Germany. Each discount level has the option of either first or second class.
Are you leaving Germany with DB Bahn? As a BahnCard holder you will also receive a 25% reduction on the standard fare for your international journey to 29 other European countries.
Special BahnCard 50 prices for students under 27, children (under 15) and senior citizens over 60 years of age are also available. The BahnCard 25 is available for children (under the age of 19) at a fixed price of 10 euros.

Convenient as a subscription
The BahnCard 25 or 50 is only available as a subscription. We will automatically send you your new card around 3 weeks before your old BahnCard expires.
City-Ticket for BahnCard holders
Holders of a BahnCard 25 or 50 can save money with City-Ticket. To be entitled to City-Ticket, customers must have a Deutsche Bahn AG long-distance ticket with BahnCard discount which means, for a distance of at least 100 km. City-Ticket entitles customers to continue their journey by bus, S-Bahn, tram or underground from their station of arrival to their destination within the urban area in more than 80 cities in Germany. The offer is valid both for the outward as well as for the return journey at the destination of the outward journey for certain local transport zones.
