Conditions for exchanging and refunding tickets ordered online

What to do if you would like to exchange or cancel a ticket you have booked:

You can cancel your ticket* yourself – based on the refund conditions – by visiting the Booking Review or order search on the "My Bahn" website. To find the Booking Review, simply go to the "My Bahn" personal mobility portal and select "My bookings" from the menu.

If you would like to exchange your ticket, you can use the travel information to book a new trip after you have cancelled the original one.

Bicycle tickets Exchange and refund in the order search or booking review at "My Bahn". Can only be cancelled in combination with the ticket for the passenger and that ticket must be eligible for cancellation (e.g. standard fare ticket).

Courier luggage service tickets Free cancellation of entire service up to 18:00 h on the weekday (Mon-Sat) before collection of luggage and only before outbound journey. City mobil Refunds only possible in combination with the ticket.

Hand in the Online-Ticket* and the request for refund at our Service Centre. The postmark of the day it was sent is valid.
Refund fee: EUR 15.00
* Does not apply if they were part of package offers.
** If you change your travel plans the reservation of a specific train with a Sparpreis saver fare ticket can be cancelled for a fee of EUR 15.00.
In addition, the difference between the Sparpreis saver fare and the standard fare is to be paid.
*** The postage charge is not refunded.

Would you like to change or cancel your ticket? This is how you do it!

1. Go to your personal mobility portal "My Bahn".
2. Click on "My bookings" (see image alongside).
3. Cancel your online ticket at the conditions stated above.
4. You can then book your new journey in Travel Information.

If your ticket reservation for a specific train cannot be met, e.g. due to the train being delayed, you can continue your journey with the next train without additional payment.
