Deutsche Bahn wishes you a pleasant journey and invites you to experience a new level of comfort in 15 DB Lounges across Germany. Relax and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere before continuing to your final destination.
The 1st class lounges in Berlin, Hamburg, and Munich bring comfort to a new level, offering complimentary drinks and snacks delivered right to your seat. You can also take advantage of the T-Mobile Hot Spot Internet connection, which is free of charge in all DB Lounges. You can easily check your email and stay connected with friends, family and co-workers during your journey.
Comfort lounge entry conditions
If you are a bahn.bonus member, once you have reached 2,000 status points within one year, you are eligible for free entrance into any DB Lounge, and can also bring a guest. More information about bahn.bonus advantages can be found by going to the Comfort-Portal.

** The lounge is under construction until early 2016. You can use the lounge of the IBIS-Hotel and have all services you know from our DB Lounges there. The hotel entrance is in the main hall right behind the service point.
Eligible customers hold a 1st class ticket (not 1st class pass eg. German Rail Pass) or BahnCard.
The 1st class lounge is separate to the comfort lounge and offers various snacks as well as hot or cold beverages - delivered right to your seat. Naturally, you can use the T-Mobile Hot Spot for free.
Members of staff welcome you here and inform you of the services on offer in the DB lounge. These include up-to-date travel information and departure times of your connecting trains. Passengers can also buy tickets, alter bookings or make seat reservations in the lounge.
Entrance to DB Lounges
DB lounges are open to:
- passengers with valid DB 1st class train tickets
- ‘bahn.bonus’ customers plus 1 accompanying person
DB lounges are also open to Lufthansa AIRail customers in Stuttgart and Cologne.
Small groups of comfortable armchairs and sofas are available in a pleasant and quiet atmosphere. You can watch current affairs on TV or read the latest newspapers and magazines.
Food and Beverages
Our service stations offer a wide range of complimentary non-alcoholic hot and cold beverages as well as small snacks.
If you need to get some work done while you’re waiting, take a seat with your laptop at the available tables and take advantage of the free T-Mobile Hotspot internet connection. Please note that sending and receiving faxes comes at an additional cost, as does photocopying.
Every day from 7am to 9pm. Please note: Times may vary for each DB Lounge. There are also variable opening times at weekends and public holidays. Further information can be found at the receptions and online at our dedications German train stations website.
Please note that 1st class rail pass holders (for example, those with a 1st class German Rail Pass) are not eligible for entry.
