Construction work on the Brenner line between Munich and Italy

Construction work in the Innsbruck region from 15 July - 2 September 2018

  • If travelling between Munich and Innsbruck, you can catch EC trains to/from Innsbruck if they are scheduled to start/end there. Otherwise, use trains serving the Brenner line. Travel as far as Jenbach and change there to local trains calling to Innsbruck, or vice versa.
  • If travelling to/from Italy, use EC trains running between Munich and Italy. These trains will not call to Innsbruck.
  • If travelling between Italy and Innsbruck, please use the rail replacement service (coaches) operating between the Brenner Pass and Innsbruck. EC services operate to/from the pass within Italy.

Line closure between Rosenheim and Kufstein from 6 August - 10 August 2018

If travelling to Italy, a rail replacement service with coaches will transport you between Rosenheim and Kufstein. Trains bound for Italy on the Brenner line start in Kufstein. These trains do not call to Innsbruck. An identical service is in place for people travelling in the opposite direction.

Line closure between Brenner Pass and Trento from 11 - 14 August 2018

  • If travelling from a station north of the Brenner Pass, a rail replacement service with coaches will transport you between the pass and Trento. Trains bound for Verona/Bologna on the Brenner line start in Trento. An identical service is in place for people travelling in the opposite direction.
  • Special provision for EC 86/EC 87 to/from Venice: Between Wörgl and Venice, these two services will be rerouted via Tarvisio. Trains will not call to the following stops: Jenbach, Innsbruck, Brennero/Brenner, Fortezza/Franzensfeste, Bressanone/Brixen, Bolzano/Bozen, Trento, Rovereto, Verona, Vicenza, Padova.
