Returning and refunding of online tickets for corporate clients

Your travel plans have changed? This is how you return or exchange tickets you have booked online.

1) Flexible fares:

  • Return up until the day after the first day of validity:
    You can easily cancel flexible fares you no longer need up until the day after the first day of validity in the "Manage my bookings" section in the corporate client portal. For tickets that have been booked by colleagues, go to the "Order search" section. Persons who normally book tickets for others can search for travellers in the "Manage travellers" section and cancel their tickets by accessing their orders.
  • Return up until two days after the first day of validity:
    You can have flexible fares you booked online refunded by visiting the "Manage my bookings" section in the corporate client portal.

    Unused flexible fares that you booked online and that were sent to you by post can be submitted for refund. To do so, fill in the refund form available in the "Manage my bookings" section and send it together with your DB ticket to our service centre (the date on the postmark applies).

Partial refund
Online refunds are not possible for partial refunds (e.g. if you used the ticket for a section of the planned journey). Please use the refund form for partial refunds. Partial refunds are subject to a cancellation fee in accordance with the tariff regulations.

2) Saver fares:

  • Up until the day before the first day of validity: Value of the ticket minus a cancellation fee of EUR 19
  • No exchange or refund from the first day of validity.

3) Special and promotional tickets:

(with/without BahnCard Business or BahnCard)

  • The terms and conditions of the individual offers apply. You can find these in the complete version of the Conditions of Carriage.
  • Most of the promotional offers are excluded from exchanges and refunds.
