Each compartment has a washing facility including toiletries, slippers and towels. In addition, there is a washing facility with a washbasin, toilet and shower at the end of each couchette coach.
Compartments are also equipped with a mirror and power sockets.

Also included in this travel class is a welcome package consisting of an aperitif, snacks and mineral water as well as an extensive breakfast of your choice with free refill of hot beverages and a daily newspaper.

Deluxe couchette compartment
Compartment types: Triple (3 berths), Double (2 berths), Single (1 berth)
Deluxe compartments have their own bathroom with washbasin, shower and toilet as well as a folding table. Shower gel and towels are provided.

Service and compartment occupancy
Put together your individual breakfast in the evening. Menus are provided in all compartments. Breakfast will be served in the morning in your compartment.

You can purchase warm and cold snacks and beverages from the train crew at your seat. Choose from the menu provided in the compartment.

The train crew will ask you at what time you want to be woken in the morning and wake you up accordingly.

All compartments can be locked from both sides by the passenger and the train crew can be contacted via a call system.

The berths in Triple and Double compartments can be booked individually. This means that you will share the compartment with other passengers (separate compartments for men and women).

Even more space and comfort is available by booking two adjoining compartments with a connecting door, thereby creating a suite for up to six persons. Combine either two Economy compartments or one Economy and one Deluxe compartment. These options currently cannot be booked online. They can only be booked at a DB Travel Centre, a travel agency with a DB licence or by calling the DB service hotline (+49 180 6 99 66 33; charges depending on provider).

Couchette coach

Compartments in couchette coaches have either 4 or 6 berths. They are suitable for groups, families or price-conscious individual travellers. A blanked, sheet and fresh pillow are provided at each place. Washing facilities and toilets can be found at the end of the coach. A small breakfast is included.

Special compartments for women are available for women travelling alone. Boys are not permitted to travel in ladies-only compartments. When travelling with boys, please book a separate compartment or gender-neutral couchette compartment. Please book these at least four days in advance at a DB Travel Centre, a travel agency with a DB licence or by calling the DB service hotline (+49 180 6 99 66 33; charges depending on provider).

There you can also book family compartments for up to two adults and at least one child and at most four children (up to 14) for a fixed price.

The ticket price includes:
○ In the evening: Mineral water
○ In the morning: Wake-up service and small breakfast

You can purchase additional beverages and snacks from the train crew. Choose from the menu provided in all compartments.

Couchette coach with wheelchair compartment
For passengers with reduced mobility, a wheelchair-accessible couchette compartment with a sanitary facility is available on almost all connections.

These couchette compartments offer space for one passenger with a wheelchair and an accompanying person.
Please book this compartment well in advance at a DB Travel Centre, a travel agency with a DB licence or by calling the DB service hotline (+49 180 6 99 66 33; charges depending on provider).

Seated coaches

Travelling in a seated coach is the most affordable way to travel on the ÖBB Nightjet. All 2nd class compartments have six seats. Washing facilities and toilets can be found at the end of the coach.

In couchette and sleeper coaches you can purchase beverages and snacks from the train crew.
