You cannot book tickets for groups larger than 30 persons online, but you can still search for prices and connections and send a non-binding booking request using the contact form. A customer support agent will call you back within 24 hours.

Advance sales period

The ticket can be booked up six months before the date of travel, provided there are still tickets and seats available.

Deposit

It is not possible to pay a deposit. You must pay the full price for the trip when you book.

Area of validity

The online ticket can be booked for a long-distance train (ICE, IC/EC) within Germany and to/from Belgium, Denmark, France, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Slovakia, Slovenia, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Austria.

The online ticket is valid for journeys involving a long-distance train (ICE, IC/EC) on at least part of the route and is restricted to the long-distance trains selected. This means that you can only use those trains whose train numbers are specified on the ticket.

Border crossings are only permitted on the long-distance train (ICE, TGV, IC/EC) booked.

When starting or completing your journey on regional or local trains, you are not restricted to specific trains or times.

If you plan to travel on regional and local trains (IRE, RE, RB) only, we recommend the day ticket for Germany (Quer-durchs-Land-Ticket) or a regional day ticket (Länderticket).

Exchanges and refunds

If your travel plans change, you can cancel the ticket for a fee of EUR 36. Cancellations are possible up to seven days before travel. Exchanges or partial cancellations of individual passengers is not possible with online tickets.
