Train-specific booking

When booking your ticket, you select a specific train (ICE, IC/EC) that you will use on the day of your journey. Your ticket is valid only for the train and on the date that are printed on it. When starting or completing your journey on regional or local trains, you are not restricted to specific trains or times.


Second class: the ticket price does not include a seat reservation. You can purchase a seat reservation either together with your ticket or separately at a later point of time.

First class: a ticket for 1st class automatically includes a seat reservation.

BahnCard discount

Holders of a BahnCard 25 or BahnCard 50 receive a 25% discount.


Children aged 0-6 travel for free.
Children aged 6-14 travel for free when accompanying parents or grandparents

Tickets can be exchanged or refunded for a fee of EUR 19 before their first day of validity. An exchange or refund is not possible after the first day of validity.
