Kassel – Goettingen: Renovation of the Rauhebergtunnel

As part of the tunnel wall renovation of the Rauhebergtunnel, the Kassel - Göttingen high-speed line must be completely closed. The extreme rainfall in December 2023 and January 2024 recently led to a massive rise in the groundwater level in the Rauhebergtunnel. As a result, DB was temporarily unable to continue the renovation of the structure on the line between Göttingen and Kassel as planned. The work therefore has to be extended until 26 May. This will lead to timetable changes around Kassel-Wilhelmshöhe and Göttingen.
