Frequently asked questions
To buy a DB gift voucher online, you need to log in to your customer account. DB gift vouchers are available with a value of EUR 10, 20, 50 or 100. You can also personalise your gift voucher during the ordering process. After you have completed the purchase, you will receive the DB gift voucher as a PDF sent to your e-mail address.
Alternatively, you can also buy DB gift vouchers at DB Travel Centres or DB agencies.
It is not possible to pay for DB gift vouchers via direct debit or using another voucher.

- At a DB agency
Return/cancellation
You can cancel your contractual declaration in writing (e.g. by letter or e-mail) within two weeks without giving reasons. This period begins after receipt of this instruction in writing, but not before you receive the product. Timely sending of the cancellation is sufficient to comply with the cancellation period.

DB gift vouchers can be redeemed for DB products (e.g. BahnCards), but cannot be used to purchase other DB gift vouchers. If the value of the DB gift voucher is higher than the purchase price of the product for which you redeem it, you will receive the remaining value in the form of a voucher.
DB gift vouchers are valid for five years from the date of purchase.
Refunds will be made to the respective means of payment used. If you paid by credit card, the refund amount will be credited back to your credit card. In the case of a bank transfer, the refund will be credited back to your bank account. If you paid with a voucher, the refund will also be made in the form of a voucher.
If you paid using multiple combined means of payment, the partial amounts will be refunded to the respective means of payment.
